Upper School

The Upper School and LJCDS leadership team have spent the recent weeks discussing and planning for the opening of school in August 2020. We are confident we will provide an on-campus learning experience in which the health and wellness of our community are paramount and the academic excellence associated with LJCDS is sustained.

Daily Schedule

The Upper School plans to conduct a full day of classes for students. Click here for the Grades 9–12 schedule.

  • The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.

  • Classes will be scheduled in A through G-Blocks

  • H-Block and I-Block are designated for student-programing such as an interdisciplinary initiative, advisory, flex blocks, clubs, etc.

  • The schedule intentionally follows the same A/E day meeting pattern as the Middle School, which will support teachers who instruct in both the MS and US while simplifying the overall meeting pattern.

The CIF plans to provide more details on July 20. LJCDS will follow all state, San Diego County and CIF guidelines when/if we return to competition. The school will provide safe and healthy opportunities for activity, fitness and skill development in the event CIF competition does not return in the fall.
